Questions, answered
Is ClassTotal really free?
Yes. The Free plan is perpetual — no trial expiry and no credit card required. It supports up to 100 student admissions per year, 500 MB of storage and all core modules including admissions, attendance, fees, exams, inquiries, the student portal and your mini website.
How is the student limit counted?
Each admission counts as one student credit over a rolling 365-day period. Enrolling the same student in two batches counts as two credits. Existing records are never deleted if you reach the limit — only new admissions are blocked until you upgrade.
Do paid plans renew automatically?
No. Paid plans are a one-time annual payment via Razorpay. The subscription simply expires at the end of 365 days unless you manually renew. Reminders are sent 30, 7 and 1 day before expiry, followed by a 7-day grace period.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
All your data — students, batches, attendance, fees, inquiries, documents — is fully preserved. Only paid features are locked. Records that exceed the lower plan's limits remain viewable; only the creation of new records is blocked until you upgrade again.
Are SMS and email notifications included?
Notification sending uses a separate prepaid Notification Wallet because SMS and email are delivered through third-party paid services (MSG91 and Brevo). You top up the wallet and are charged per notification at published per-unit rates.
Is GST included in the price?
Yes. All plan prices are inclusive of 18% GST and a GST-compliant tax invoice is generated automatically for every payment.
