1. Introduction & Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ClassTotal software platform ("Platform") operated by Atomos Education Private Limited ("Company"), a private limited company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with CIN U80902MH2017PTC291472, PAN AAPCA2088J, GSTIN 27AAPCA2088J1Z8, having its registered office at 51, Patelwadi, Korit Road, Nandurbar, Maharashtra 425412 and principal place of business at Plot No. 02, Sai Vihar Apartment, Main Road, Nashik, Maharashtra 422008.

"ClassTotal" is a registered trademark (Trade Mark No. 4218870, Class 9, registered 27 June 2019) of the Company.

By creating an account or using the Platform, you ("User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.
  • You must have the legal authority to act on behalf of the institute you are registering.
  • The Platform is designed for educational institutes (coaching classes, tuition centres, training institutes) operating in India.

3. Subscription Plans

The Platform offers four subscription tiers, each billed annually and payable in Indian Rupees inclusive of GST at the applicable rate (currently 18%):

  • Free — Rs. 0 / year: 100 student admissions per 365-day period, 500 MB storage, core modules (Dashboard, Staff, Batches, Students, Admissions, Attendance, Fees, Inquiries, Exams), Student Portal, Your Mini Website. Excludes subject-wise attendance, one-click fee receipt PDF, convert-inquiry-to-admission, exam paper PDF, PDF export on reports, and custom roles & permissions (RBAC).
  • Pro — Rs. 3,600 / year: 250 student admissions per 365-day period, 1 GB storage, all Free features plus subject-wise attendance, fee receipt PDF, convert-to-admission, exam paper PDF, PDF export on all reports, and custom roles & permissions.
  • Pro Max — Rs. 12,000 / year: 1,000 student admissions per 365-day period, 2 GB storage, all Pro features plus advanced analytics and batch promotion.
  • Ultra Pro Max — Rs. 24,000 / year: Unlimited student admissions, 5 GB storage, all Pro Max features.

Free plan is perpetual — no trial expiry, no credit card required. Paid plans are purchased through the in-app Settings → Subscriptions page via Razorpay. Detailed billing and refund terms are set out in Sections 8C and 8D.

The Company reserves the right to modify plan pricing, limits, or feature availability with 30 days' prior written notice via email to the registered administrator. Pricing changes apply only to new purchases and renewals; existing paid subscriptions remain at the price paid until their expiry date.

4. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
  • You must not share login credentials across multiple individuals — each user should have their own account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Attempt to access another institute's data or circumvent data isolation mechanisms.
  • Upload malicious content, viruses, or scripts that could harm the Platform or other users.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform without prior written consent.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform.
  • Use the Platform to store or transmit content that infringes intellectual property rights of third parties.

6. Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the Platform (student records, staff records, fee records, etc.). The Company does not claim ownership of your data. We only process your data to provide the Platform's services as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform, its design, code, features, trademarks, and documentation are the intellectual property of Atomos Education Private Limited. The ClassTotal name and logo are registered trademarks. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Platform without prior written consent.

8. Notification Wallet & Pay-Per-Use Billing

The Platform operates a pay-per-use notification billing system through the Notification Wallet. You must maintain a positive prepaid wallet balance to send notifications (email, SMS, push). Each notification is charged at the prevailing per-unit rate published within the Platform (Settings → Notification Wallet). Charges are deducted in real time as each notification is successfully sent. When your balance reaches zero, all notification channels are automatically disabled until funds are added. All top-ups are inclusive of GST and a GST-compliant tax invoice is generated automatically.

8A. Refund Policy (Notification Wallet)

  • No Refund on Used Credits: Wallet balance used for sending notifications is non-refundable.
  • Refund of Unused Balance: On account closure you may request a refund of unused balance within 180 days of the last top-up.
  • Failed or Duplicate Payments: Amounts charged but not credited, or duplicate payments, are refunded in full within 7–10 business days.
  • Platform Discontinuation: If the Company discontinues the Platform (90 days' notice), all unused wallet balances are refunded in full.

For refund requests, email support@classtotal.com with your institute name, registered email, and the Razorpay payment ID(s).

8B. Third-Party Services

Notification delivery relies on MSG91 (SMS, Sender ID: CLSTTL), Brevo (email), Web Push (VAPID), and Razorpay (payments, PCI-DSS compliant). The Company is not responsible for delivery failures, delays, or interruptions caused by third-party providers. Notification charges apply upon successful dispatch from ClassTotal's servers, regardless of final delivery status.

8C. Annual Subscription Plans & Upgrade Terms

  • Billing Model: Each paid plan is a one-time annual payment via Razorpay. There is no auto-renewal in the current version — the subscription expires at the end of the 365-day period unless manually renewed.
  • Activation: On successful payment and signature verification, the plan tier activates immediately and a GST tax invoice is generated.
  • Pricing: Prices are inclusive of 18% GST (9% CGST + 9% SGST intra-state Maharashtra, or 18% IGST inter-state). SAC code 998411.
  • Mid-Cycle Upgrade: Upgrading to a higher tier charges the full new-tier annual price and resets the expiry to 365 days from the upgrade date. Unused time is not prorated.
  • Expiry & Grace Period: Reminders are sent 30, 7, and 1 day before expiry. A 7-day grace period follows; if not renewed, the account is automatically downgraded to Free.
  • Data Retention on Downgrade: All institute data is fully preserved on downgrade. Only paid features are locked; existing records that exceed Free limits remain viewable.

8D. Subscription Refund Policy

  • 7-Day First-Purchase Money-Back: First-time subscribers may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of initial payment only if no paid feature has been used during that period.
  • No Prorated Refund on Cancellation or Downgrade. Access to the higher tier continues until the plan expiry date.
  • No Refund on Renewals. The 7-day window applies to the first-ever paid purchase only.
  • Failed or Duplicate Payments are refunded in full within 7–10 business days.

For subscription refund requests, email support@classtotal.com within 7 days of purchase with your institute name, registered email, invoice number, and Razorpay payment ID.

8E. Atomos Connect — QR Code Applet Platform

Atomos Connect is an interactive applet platform linked to physical Atomos Education study materials via QR codes. Access requires scanning an authorised QR code and verifying your phone number via OTP. Each phone number is limited to one active session at a time.

Limited Availability of Applets

Applets are provided on a limited-time basis and are NOT guaranteed to remain permanently available. The Company may add, modify, replace, or remove any applet at any time without prior notice. Possession of a physical book or QR code does not guarantee perpetual access to the linked applet. All applets and their content are the exclusive intellectual property of Atomos Education Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors.

9. Service Availability & Maintenance

  • We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
  • Scheduled maintenance is communicated at least 24 hours in advance.
  • We are not liable for downtime caused by factors beyond our control.

10. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from within the Platform or by contacting support.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with written notice specifying the reason.
  • Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
  • The Company reserves the right to discontinue the Platform with 90 days' prior notice to all registered users.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, the Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. The Company's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its directors, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to the registered administrator at least 15 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Dispute Resolution

The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute amicably through good-faith negotiation for 30 days. If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, by a sole arbitrator, with the seat of arbitration in Nashik, Maharashtra. The language of arbitration shall be English.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to the arbitration clause above, the courts in Nashik, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal proceedings.
